Ancestral Healing Circles

Join an ancestral healing circle to learn how to commune with your ancestors.

Why join a circle?

In Western industrial culture, we are profoundly disconnected from our ancestral lineages. Many of us no loner live on our homelands, and have no idea how to honour our ancestors. Ancestral reverence practices were a core part of nearly all human cultures for hundreds of thousands of years, with some still surviving today. It is our responsibility to ourselves, our descendants, and the dead to recover these ways for healing and lineage repair.

Sacred Space...

We gather in a safe and supportive container to create ancestral relationships. Safety protocols are clearly explained and implemented, and we make sure to create strong intentions to give us direction while exploring the Unseen realms.

Using time-honoured skills of trance and deep imagination, we are able to facilitate direct communication with our ancestors. Harnessing specific intuitive abilities enables us to speak directly with our ancestors and elemental powers.

What to expect:

Ancestral healing circles are a gentle, profound, and illuminating experience into recovering our ability to speak directly with our ancestors. We work on developing our ability of deep imagination to facilitate direct communication; we learn what needs to be healed in our lineages and lives, and how; we discover effective ancestral reverence practices that we can carry into our everyday lives; and we come into relationship and awareness of our ancestral bio-regions and homelands.

These on-going, drop-in circles focus on a different area each month at the full moon. Having a regular practice enables us to make our connections consistent and increase our ability to communicate with our ancestors.

General outline:

  • A 2 hour period of sacred space and ritual work, with embodied intuitive guidance into direct communication with ancestral lineages.

  • Each circle involves a teaching, guided embodied practice, and closing out with Q&A and discussion time.

  • Suggested “homework” for each session encourages you to implement foundational, long-lasting practices to sustain ancestral relationships.

How to prepare:

  • Please make sure you have some undisturbed time and a comfortable place to sit or lie down

  • Have access to a dark space (or semi-dark), such as having an eye mask

  • Journal and pen to record insights and notes

Circle leader:

I (Robyn) am a trained practitioner of Animist Healing Arts, specializing in ancestral recovery, nature connection and animism, and development of the deep imagination.

Before emigrating to Canada at the age of 20, I was born and raised on my ancestral homelands of Cambridgeshire and East Anglia in England, while also spending copious amounts of time on my paternal homelands in the Gaelic world of the NW Scottish Highlands.

Having had first-hand experience of the grief of leaving my homeland more than halfway through my life, I have a profound understanding of the wounding of the Gaelic and British diaspora that stems out of disconnection from culture, language, and land. For the past 15 years, I have been tending to this grief by becoming intimate with it. I am in constant relationship with this grief, which has asked me to learn my ancestral language, cosmology, and history, and to revive my cultural traditions.

I honour my grief as a sacred teacher of the importance of ancestral relationship, without which I don’t know if I would ever have come back to my people.

Over the past few years, I have stepped into the role of helping others navigate ancestral recovery. This is profoundly healing work, and it is my deep honour to hold space for others in this way.

Join me in these community ancestral healing circles, where we navigate recovery work together.
